A woman has been charged with prostitution after a shooting on Harrison Road.

Friday morning, around 11:25 a.m., police responded to an armed robbery at Villager Lodge.

When deputies, Christopher Bell, 23, of Macon told police he had paid a woman for sex. According to Bibb County Sheriff's news release, after "the sex act took place, he had demanded his money back."

When she refused, he pulled out his gun. She quickly gave back the money. When he was trying to leave, several men approached him and they struggled while they tried to take his pistol.

The gun went off during the fight and hit Bell in the right hip.

The men then left with his pistol in his 2002 Chevy Impala and abandoned the car at the back of the building.

Bell is currently in the hospital to receive treatment for his gunshot wound.

Police found the woman, 50, Patricia Seavy, behind the hotel near the Impala. She was was charged with prostitution.

The incident is still under investigation.
