After its stretch of about 11 years on Vineville Avenue in Macon, Moe's Southwest Grill is expanding with plans to open two new locations.
Restaurant manager Matt Yerby told 13WMAZ on Thursday that the local franchise is planning to open a second location on Zebulon Road in April and a third on Tom Hill Sr. Boulevard at a later date.
The Zebulon Road restaurant would be located in the Plantation Village shopping center in the former Caliente's Burrito Shop.
"It's a good location near the interstate," Yerby said. "A lot of our current customers live out there."
Yerby said the third location is planned for the 100 block of Tom Hill Sr. Boulevard. Owners are still working on an opening date for that location.
Yerby said the restaurant will remain at its Vineville Avenue location.
Founded in Atlanta in December 2000, Moe's currently operates 500 restaurants throughout the United States, according to the companies website.
