Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones says two people were shot and killed Saturday night in unrelated incidents, marking the first and second homicides in Bibb County in 2014.
Jones says the first happened around 7:45 p.m. near the intersection of Anthony Road and Wren Avenue in west Macon, at the Macon Little League Field. A 16-year-old boy was shot multiple times and died about 30 minutes later at the Medical Center of Central Georgia.
Jones says the boy's name will not be released because he is a minor.
The second homicide Saturday night was at 537 Maynard St. in east Macon just before 10:30 p.m.
According to the Bibb County Sherifff's Office, 43-year-old Jasento Luchun Flowers Sr. shot his wife- 37-year-old Bridgette Flowers- in the face. She was declared dead at the Medical Center just a few minutes later. Two other people were shot, but are OK.
