A Dooly County prisoner escaped work detail in Bibb County and was caught Thursday afternoon.
Jamal Millican, 28, was a part of Dooly County State Prison's work detail on N. Avondale Circle when he left and stole a truck at a nearby business, according to a release.
The truck then broke down, near a Kohl's warehouse. Around this time, the sheriff's office began to receive calls about a suspicious person, wearing a "'prison style jumpsuit'" running near East Drive.
Millican then tried to break into another vehicle, running from that East Drive business and heading back to Hawkinsville Road. Around that time, he was arrested and taken to Georgia Department of Corrections where he is expected to be charged with escape.
Bibb County will also charge Millican with theft by taking auto, criminal damage to property, entering auto, obstruction and false information.
