Some young automotive engineers used a creative way to drive in funds for their program, so that they can compete against the best engine builders in the country.
Peach County High School students held an event called 'Drive 4 UR School'.
It allows people in the community to raise money, by taking a new car for a test drive.
Automotive Instructor Johnny Rickerson says it is their largest fundraiser.
Rickerson says Ford Motor Company will donate $20 per test drive to their program.
He says the money will allow automotive students to work on special projects.
"We also use it for the engine builders team. We pay for travel. We help the guys with their meals," Rickerson explained.
Caleb Carter said, "We tear down and rebuild a 350 small block Chevy, and we go all around the United States to compete with other schools."
The team will travel to Hendersonville, Tennessee for their next competition, one week from now.
