Coroner Leon Jones says Bibb county had its tenth fatality on the roadways since the start of the year.

A man was killed this afternoon near the intersection of Irwinton road and Jeffersonville road.

Jones says Kenneth Alan Craig from Montgomery, Ala., was driving an 18-wheeler and parked it on the side of the road to walk to a nearby store.

On the way, 2 passing cars got in a wreck, and one of them struck 42-year-old Craig.

He was pronounced dead at the Medical Center about 45 minutes later.

Coroner Jones said the people in those vehicles that got in the crash were not hurt and that the sheriff's office is now investigating.
