Macon's Moonhanger Group, The Big House Museum, and "Mama" Louise Hudson will be making a special announcement Saturday at the Cox Capitol Threatre during Bragg Jam.
Moonhanger Group are the owners of Armory Ballroom and Rookery and Dovetail restaurants. They also operate the Cox. Moonhanger announced in March that they purchased the landmark H&H Restaurant, which closed in December 2013.
"Mama" Louise Hudson opened H&H in the late 1960s and Moonhanger officials have said she's staying on board and will be cooking her traditional soul food dishes when the restaurant reopens.
Hudson, affectionately called "Mama," by those who know her, became a close friend to two hungry, struggling musicians in the early days of H&H. Those musicians were Dickey Betts and Berry Oakley, founding members of the Allman Brothers Band.
