Thursday night, NFL teams will try and build their futures and college seniors will wait by the phone as the first round of the draft unfolds.
A Perry High School standout who went on to have a great career at Vanderbilt is ready to hear which city he will now call home.
Casey Hayward sports a tattoo of Perry on his arm. After all, it's where he grew up and knocked pads in the Panther pit.
Now he's counting down until his phone call comes in, but he hasn't lost any sleep over his future.
"I really don't care which team I go to," Hayward says. "I always grew up watching the home team the Falcons, I always grew up watching them, so that is always in the back of your mind, but any team I'd be excited to go to. I think Detroit fits my scheme, very diverse and zone heavy. I feel like that is what they do a lot, so I feel Detroit really does fit my scheme."
CBSSports.com projects Hayward going in the second or third round and analyzed that he has good reaction skills when it comes to breaking towards the ball. They say one thing that may work against him is his slender frame.
