This week's top teacher is a 7th grade math teacher at Warner Robins Middle School.
Junior Journalist Hannah Williamson takes us to warrior country, in this week's My teacher is Tops report.
Ms. Sara Pierce has only been teaching for three years but her students think she is tops.
"She is caring and so nice and when we have trouble she makes it easy to understand," says Yamilee Olivas.
"She's really strict, but she can be nice at the same time." says Nick Stout.
And Zachary Ivester says, "When you need somebody to talk to you know you have someone, because Ms. Pierce is there."
Seventh graderZachary Ivester nominated Ms. Pierce on behalf of his whole class. His letter read, "We are nominating Ms. Pierce today because we believe Ms. Pierce meets the My Teacher's Tops requirements."
And the seventh grade math teacher, didn't see us coming.
"I was very surprised. I just feel so honored that the students selected me." saysMs. Sara Pierce.
She uses a smart board to help her students understand math better. "Getting to learn something new in a unique way," explains Olivas.
"We do play games on the smart board which helps us a lot, because kids today are into electronics," says Stout.
"Ido think it's important to use technology. The students have their tvs and cellphones so if I can use that to help them learn I always try to," explains Ms.Pierce.
And when we asked her what she would like her students to take with them to the eighth grade she said, "Of course as a teacher I want them to learn all of the seventh grade curriculum almost just as important I want them to you know be more mature grow as people to and just try to find out who they are and believe in themselves."
