Warner Robins police have released the name of a teenager who allegedly committed suicide outside a school Monday.
They say he is Kyle Dennis Ruffin, age 19, of Warner Robins.
A police news release says an autopsy Tuesday morning ruled the death a suicide.
Houston County Coroner Danny Galpin said Ruffin hanged himself at Lake Joy Primary School on Monday morning.
Galpin said his body was discovered in the playground just before 10 a.m.
Schools spokeswoman Beth McLaughlin said a teacher noticed the man as children were being released for recess and returned the children to the building.
McLaughlin said the school and the nearby Lake Joy Elementary School were placed on a code yellow, That meant classes continue but with limited movement in the school and children not allowed outside.
She said school was to be released on time, and parents were to be notified of the death by automated phone call.
Two first-grade classes were coming out of recess when two children said they saw something on the playground, according to a Houston County schools news release.
All of the children's parents were contacted to let them know that their child may have seen a body. Counselors and staff will talk to students who want to share their feelings Tuesday, the news release states.
