A Warner Robins man says he was playing cards in his garage with friends early Wednesday when someone opened fire on them.

Three of them were injured in the shooting.

It happened around 2 a.m. on the 400 block of Alabama Avenue.

That's off Elberta Road.

Kenneth Hammonds, who's 23, said someone masked in a blue bandanna came up and started firing, at least 20 times.

One of the bullets hit his knee.

You can still see blood spatter and the bullet holes inside the home.

He said he'd just moved into the house a week ago and didn't recognize the shooter.

Another neighbor we spoke to says she hears gunfire in the neighborhood nearly every day.

She says she saw a group of four teenagers crouched by the fence near the home shortly earlier in the evening.

However, she says she was inside her home when the shooting happened.

Another neighbor, Curtis Myricks, says he's only been living in the neighborhood for a month but is already considering looking for another place.

"I'm fearful for my life," Myricks said. "I'm thinking about moving next week."

According to a police news release, 29-year-old Rashaad Simmons of Warner Robins suffered gunshot wounds to both hands and was taken to the Medical Center of Central Georgia.

Xavier Hawkins, 24, of Warner Robins was also shot in the leg, and also refused medical treatment.

No arrests were made.

Warner Robins police say they're still investigating the case.

Anyone with information on the shooting can call (478) 302-5380.
