Ah, Anthony Weiner. He's really not going to quit the New York City mayor's race.
"You're stuck with me," Weiner told the Staten Island Advance, in an interview published Sunday.
We're now in week two of the new New York City mayor's race, the one that is being dominated by conversation about Weiner's sexting escapades that continued even after such behavior forced him to quit Congress in 2011.
Two other snippets jump out in the Staten Island newspaper story:
On what he would tell his son, Jordan: Sounding confident about victory, Weiner joked that he'd tell the boy, now 19 months old, not to complain because "the kid's going to grow up in Gracie Mansion." His serious answer? "I hope that what he sees is the value of what I'm trying to do here. I hope he sees that I was a good mayor."
On whether he's a sex addict: "Addiction has a clinical meaning," Weiner is quoted as saying, "and I've been told it doesn't apply here."
Weiner's public schedule for Monday shows he'll participate in a mayoral forum in The Bronx.
