Again: Another poll, another low point for President Obama.

A new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll gives Obama a job approval of only 41%, a low mark for the president in this survey.

The poll, which reflects others, also indicates that Obama will be a drag on Democrats in this fall's elections.

By a margin of 33% to 24%, respondents say they votes will signal opposition to Obama, rather than support for particular candidates.

Meanwhile, another 41% said their votes will have nothing to do with Obama.

In addition, 48% in the poll said they are less likely to vote for a candidate who is a solid supporter of Obama, while 26% said they would be more likely to vote for that candidate.

NBC News also notes that numbers are relative:

"Obama's favorable/unfavorable numbers (41%/44%) in the poll are better than the Republican Party's (27%/45%) and Tea Party's (23%/41%).

"'For all the bad news for the president and the Democratic Party, if this were a beauty contest, the Republicans would not win any prize,' says (Fred) Yang, the Democratic pollster."
