David Perdue and Gary Black both spoke at Lane Southern Orchards, campaigning for the general election in November.
In the midst of peach cobbler, ice cream, and a few other favorites,agriculture commissioner Gary Black kicked off his volunteer campaign today.
Black and senate candidate David Perdue stopped by Lane Southern Orchards.
Both candidates spoke on the importance of Georgia's farming and agricultural communities.
Black talked about the future of agriculture, and how crops were looking for this year as well.
Senate candidate David Perdue was invited to speak and show his support.
"I came down here to support Gary and he invited me to speak for a few minutes and that really gave me an opportunity to make an announcement today. We're releasing a press release today that announces that my first request if I'm blessed to be representing Georgia is that I'm going to request to be on the agriculture committee for the United States Senate," says Perdue.
The general election will be November 4th.
