Four Georgia College softball players were honored by the conference. Senior Whitney Okvist and sophomore Taylor Campbell from Warner Robins were named to the first team, while freshman Danielle Bernstein ) and sophomore Abi LeRoy from Dublin were named to the second.
While Campbell and Bernstein are receiving first-time All-PBC accolades, this will be Okvist's fourth selection, and LeRoy's second. The senior was named to the second team her freshman year and since then has made the first team the past three seasons.
Okvist moved to No. 5 on the NCAA Division II all-time stolen bases list this season and currently has 162 for her career. Her 43 this season lead the PBC, and her team-leading .441 batting average is good for third in the conference. She was named as a first team outfielder on this year's All-PBC Team.
LeRoy trails Okvist in both batting average and stolen bases, but is second on the team in both. Her 16 swipes are good for seventh in the PBC, while she carries a .329 batting average. She ranks sixth in the conference and first on the team in RBI with 41. She also took a spot on the second team in 2013.
Campbell is second on the team in RBI with 30 and leads the team in home runs with five. She was named as a first team third baseman on this year's All-PBC Team.
Bernstein is eighth in the PBC for stolen bases with 15. The total also ranks her third on the team in that category behind Okvist and LeRoy, respectively.
