Atlanta, GA - Colleen DeGraff sparked a four-run sixth inning as Wesleyan rallied past Pine Minor to capture a 9-8 victory in the opening round of the Great South Athletic Conference Softball Championship.
The junior drilled a one-out triple in the bottom of the sixth to plate Nicole Wilson and Chloe Fowler to start the rally. Ashley Kemp's ground out scored DeGraff to tie the game and All-Conference candidate Jema Bravo followed with a double. Amber Gasparich drove in the winning run with single up the middle.
Wilson capped 4.2 innings of relief by striking out a pair of Gators in the top of the seventh inning to earn the victory.
Eight of the nine Wolves in the lineup collected a hit. Bravo finished with a team-high three hits while DeGraff added three RBI's.
Wesleyan advanced to play #1 Agnes Scott College at Friday afternoon at Georgia Tech.
