The Southeastern regional softball tournament is down to its final two teams, and one of them is a Peach State squad from Columbus, Georgia.
They had a rematch with Florida in the loser's bracket this afternoon, playing for a chance to move on to the semifinals. Georgia's only loss was a heartbreaker against Tennessee, and today, the Peach State team broke some hearts in the Florida dugout.
This one was all Georgia. The girls from Columbus scored four runs in the fourth inning to go up 5-0, and shut Florida down with a 6-1 victory.
Virginia beat Tennessee earlier in the day to move on to the championship matchup.
Tennessee's loss sent them to a loser's match showdown with Georgia, and the home state girls pulled out a 5-4 win.
Georgia will now play Virginia in the championship game Monday at 11 a.m. on Monday.
Since this is a double elimination, and Virginia is yet to lose, Georgia will have to beat them twice.
If necessary, game two will be played later Monday afternoon.
