Flowery Branch, GA – The Atlanta Falcons Heads Up Tour, in partnership with Kids & Pros, is ready to hit the road in Georgia. Six Atlanta Falcons Heads Up Clinics and Parent Informational Sessions will be held from February to April throughout the state of Georgia. Children ages 6-14 are encouraged to attend these free special one day clinics which will focus on teaching young athletes proper football tackling techniques, as well as a variety of other football skills. These are non-contact clinics, so there is no equipment needed.
The clinics will incorporate safe tackling techniques from USA Football's "Heads Up Football" program into the camps along with character-based lessons. The safe, non-contact instruction teaches children the right way to play football and how to avoid injuries. Camp instructors will include current and former Atlanta Falcons players who will provide hands-on teaching of skill fundamentals, as well as position-specific training.
In addition, a free Parent Informational Session will be held in each location, led by former Atlanta Falcons Linebacker, USA Football Master Trainer and Kids & Pros Executive Director Buddy Curry. The session will be held for parents of the clinic attendees to learn more about proper equipment fitting, new Heads Up tackling techniques and concussion awareness.
