A wreck involving a tractor-trailer and a school bus caused major traffic delays in Macon Monday evening. The traffic back-up led to another accident on Gray Highway.

Macon Police Spokeswoman Jami Gaudet says a tow truck pulling three vehicles hit a power pole that caused power lines to hang low over the highway.

A tractor-trailer truck drove through the wires, pulling down the poll and the lines attached, which knocked out power to Hall and Northern Streets.

Georgia Power crews say it could take as long as five hours to clear the road way. Until then, police say drivers should avoid the area. No injures have been reported.
