I-16 RAMPS CLOSED FOR SLAB REPLACEMENT AND PAVING WORK
WHEN: Various dates and times, beginning at 7 a.m., Friday, February 17, weather permitting
WHERE: I-16 east and westbound at Exit 24; SR 96, Exit 27; SR 358 and Exit 32; SR 112
WHAT: The Georgia DOT has been notified by the contractor of the scheduled ramp closures for slab removal and concrete paving of the ramps at Exit 24, Exit 27 and Exit 32.
Ramp Closures are as follows:
- Friday, February 17: 1-16 eastbound on-ramp at Exit 27, beginning at 7 a.m. until 7 a.m., Saturday, February 18
- Saturday, February 18: I-16 eastbound and westbound ramps at Exit 24, beginning at 7 a.m. until 7 a.m., Sunday, February 19
- Sunday, February 19: I-16 eastbound and westbound ramps at Exit 24, beginning at 7 a.m. until 7 a.m., Monday, February 20
The contractor is performing concrete pavement rehabilitation on I-16 on all lanes in each direction beginning at SR 96 (Exit 24) in Twiggs County, continuing through Bleckley County to a point east of SR 278 in Laurens County.
