Alexandria Dorsey is a Digital Content Producer at 13WMAZ.

She joined WMAZ after graduating Cum Laude from Mercer University with a bachelor's degree in Journalism and English.

During her time as a journalism student, she used her passion for news to tell stories that engage the interests of university students as well as stay in touch with the local community.

In the past year, she and a fellow journalist created a podcast called Black Girl Tea Party, which focused on nuanced issues in the Black community and in pop culture.

In summer 2020, she accepted a Couric Fellowship, which offered her a paid internship with the Macon Newsroom located in the Center for Collaborative Journalism at Mercer University.

During this time she fell more in love with local news and with journalism as a profession and a passion.

Alexandria is originally from Savannah, Georgia. In her free time, she enjoys critically analyzing cartoons and reading. She is looking forward to making Macon her new home.
