Alexandria "Xan" Dorsey is a Digital Content Producer at 13WMAZ. He joined the team in June 2021.

He started working at WMAZ after graduating Cum Laude from Mercer University with a bachelor's degree in Journalism and English.

During his time as a journalism student, he used his passion for news to tell stories that engage the interests of university students as well as stay in touch with the local community.

In his senior year of college, he and a fellow journalist created a podcast called Black Girl Tea Party, which focused on nuanced issues in the Black community and in pop culture.

In summer 2020, they accepted a Couric Fellowship, which offered them a paid internship with the Macon Newsroom located in the Center for Collaborative Journalism at Mercer University.

During this time, he fell more in love with local news and with journalism as a profession and a passion.

Alexandria is originally from Savannah, Georgia. In their free time, they enjoy critically analyzing cartoons and reading. He is looking forward to making Macon his new home.
