Connor Hines is a Sports Multi-Skilled Journalist at 13WMAZ News.
Originally from San Diego, Connor joined the team in July 2021 after studying broadcast journalism at Indiana University.
While at IU, Connor was deeply involved in sports media at The Media School, covering many of Indiana’s athletic programs, including basketball.
During his four years, Connor had the opportunity to travel to nearly every Big Ten college town, along with Washington D.C. and Tampa to cover events. He broadcasted numerous games for the Big Ten Network Student U program, as well as WIUX Student Radio, where he served as Sports Director during his senior year.
Connor directed The Hoosier Network, a multimedia site covering the Indiana Hoosiers through podcasts, video features, and written content. As the sports anchor for IU NewsNet, Connor covered landmark events in IU athletics such as the hiring of new head basketball coach Mike Woodson, and arguably the most successful season ever for Indiana Football.
While away from Bloomington, Connor interned with FOX Sports in Los Angeles, as well as WISH-TV in Indianapolis, where he also shot high school football and basketball highlights for “The Zone.”
Outside of sports, Connor loves traveling and spending time outside, whether it be at the beach or in the woods.
A lifelong fan of the San Diego Padres, Connor has engaged with sports his whole life and can’t wait to tell the stories of Central Georgia’s athletes, coaches, and fans.
