MACON, Ga. — Ashlyn Webb is the weekend evening anchor and a multi-skilled journalist at 13WMAZ.

She first joined the team as an intern in May 2019. She started full-time in January 2020 as a Multi-Skilled Journalist. Ashlyn is the Macon-Bibb County commission beat reporter and a member of the 13 Investigates team.

Ashlyn graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia with majors in journalism and international affairs.

In college, Ashlyn reported for Flagpole Magazine and Grady Newsource, the student-run news station. She spent her time reporting, anchoring and producing.

Ashlyn interned at FOX 5 in Atlanta during summer 2018 and contributed to a Peabody-award winning series that revealed how false positive readings on police roadside drug tests led to bad arrests in the state of Georgia.

Aside from work, Ashlyn is the chapter president of the Georgia chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, an organization that promotes excellence and ethics in journalism.

When she isn’t at work, Ashlyn enjoys spending time with her friends and family and cheering on her Georgia Bulldogs on Saturdays in Athens!
