Molly Jett joined the 13WMAZ team full-time in January 2021 as a Multi-Skilled Journalist.
A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Molly graduated summa cum laude from Bellarmine University with a Master of Science in Digital Media and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Design Art and Technology
In college, Molly reported for Knights Media Network, a student-run news organization. She spent her time shooting, writing, and editing community-driven stories.
In 2020, she worked remotely for WHAS 11 News in Louisville after being their summer news intern in 2019. She contributed to the team throughout the Breonna Taylor announcement and Black Lives Matter protests, the 2020 presidential election and the coronavirus pandemic, as both an associate producer and assignment editor.
In summer 2018, she interned for That’s Shanghai Magazine in Shanghai, China. Now, she’s excited to tell stories “Straight from the Heart” in Central Georgia.
Her love for writing and sharing the truth, and her eagerness to connect with others is what prompted her to follow her dreams and make an impact in the news industry.
Aside from work, Molly is a member of the National Press Photographers Association and the Asian-American Journalists Association, both organizations that promote excellence and ethics in journalism.
Molly’s beat assignment is Warner Robins and Houston County.
When she isn’t at work, Molly enjoys spending time with her friends and family and supporting local community events!
