'Hillbilly Elegy' puts out last-minute casting call in Macon

They're looking for men, women, and teenage boys for two different scenes in Macon on Monday

MACON, Ga. — You may have noticed downtown Macon looking a little bit different due to filming for a new Netflix movie, but shoots aren't over yet.

Ron Howard's movie 'Hillbilly Elegy,' starring Amy Adams and Glenn Close, is looking for more cast members in Macon for Monday, July 22.

According to a post on the Tammy Smith Casting Facebook page, they're looking for people for both a 1946 and a 1997 scene.

For the 1946 scene, they're looking for men and women ages 18 to 75 to be townspeople and guards and two boys, ages 10 to 12, to be newspaper boys.

They're paying adults $80 with overtime after eight hours of shooting and $100 for kids with overtime after eight hours as well. That shoot starts at 5 a.m. for men, 8 a.m. for women, and 9:30 a.m. for kids.

For the 1997 scene, they're looking for boys ages 13 to 17 to be skateboarders, and they're asking you bring your own skateboards. The pay rate for this shoot is $125 with overtime after eight hours, and it starts at 8:30 a.m.

To apply, the post says to send an email to projects1@TSCasting.com with the subject line 'MACON MONDAY.' You must attach at least two current photos and include details like your name, age, height, weight, phone number, and clothing sizes.
