13WMAZ and the TEGNA Foundation are accepting grant applications

The deadline to submit the application is by 5:30 p.m. on Friday, February 25.

MACON, Ga. — The application process is now open for the 2022 TEGNA Foundation Grant awarded by 13WMAZ.

13WMAZ, a TEGNA company, and the TEGNA Foundation are partners in philanthropy to assist nonprofit organizations in Central Georgia through the TEGNA Community Foundation Grant program.

Your application and grant proposal must contain the following information:

  • completed TEGNA Foundation Grant Application Form
  • IRS letter of determination for 501(c)3 tax exemption
  • your organization’s non-discrimination policy
  • one-page project budget, and a one-page summary organizational budget
  • project proposal of no more than three pagesthat includes:
    • needs statement
      • objectives of the project to be funded
      • whether the project is new or ongoing
      • constituency to be served
      • community and volunteer involvement
    • sustainability statement
      • your organization's qualifications to carry out the project
      • how the project will be evaluated
      • plans for continued funding, committed, and applied for
  • pertinent recent publications may also be included
  • private foundations or private operating foundation status are ineligible
  • the average grant distribution amount is between $1,000 to $5,000
