Man charged with fatal Warner Robins accident

Police say the man's passenger died during surgery. Now, he's charged with vehicular homicide

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Warner Robins Police have charged a man with vehicular homicide for a fatal accident that happened in late May.

According to a news release, 52-year-old Johnny Williams, of Americus, was arrested by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office on warrants from Warner Robins Police for a fatal accident that happened on May 25.

Williams is charged with 1st degree vehicular homicide and reckless driving.

According to WRPD, the accident happened on Watson Boulevard near Carl Vinson Parkway outside the Home Depot.

Their investigation shows a 2017 Chevy Malibu driven by Williams left the road and crossed several lanes before hitting a curb, utility pole and power transformer.

Williams’ passenger died during surgery. The investigation into the accident is ongoing and will be presented to a grand jury.
