MONROE COUNTY, Ga. -- Investigators in Monroe and Bibb counties are now joining several jurisdictions in the search for suspects wanted for several crimes.

The latest addition to the search comes after a vehicle chase where Monroe officials were called out to aid the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

The pursuit ended near Georgia Highway 41 and Estes Road when the driver crashed. That person was taken into custody but two more men ran and got away.

According to Monroe County investigators, one of the suspects, 20-year-old Anthony Adre'l Spriggs of Atlanta, later attempted to steal a car and even assaulted a resident in the process. Reports state that Spriggs told the victim he had a weapon but was ultimately fought off.

He ran away on foot once again following the unsuccessful attempt.

It turns out the three suspects were allegedly involved in another robbery in Centerville, Georgia. Spriggs specifically is wanted in several jurisdictions including Gwinnett, Henry, Cobb and DeKalb Counties as well as Atlanta. He can now add criminal attempt to hijack a motor vehicle to his list of charges after a new warrant out of Monroe County.
