Dog show brings in pit bulls, bulldogs to Georgia National Fairgrounds

The American Bully Kennel Club Super Bowl V Dog Show took place Saturday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

PERRY, Ga. — The Georgia Grown building at the Georgia National Fairgrounds transformed into a dog house on Saturday for the American Bully Kennel Club Super Bowl V Dog Show.

Pit bulls, French and American bulldogs were just some of the breeds in attendance for the fifth annual show.

Dogs entered the ring in hopes of taking the top prize, and some future competitors showed up as well.

This year's show is Nicolas Bustamante's first show, and he says he's just trying to get his dogs comfortable in the ring.

"Honestly, we just try to keep them around people you know, get them oriented with other dogs just to keep them a little tamed while we are here," Bustamante said. "And hopefully the more times they're here, the better they're going to get."

The show ran until 11 p.m. Saturday.
