3 Houston County district leaders awarded for excellence in Georgia conference

Three Houston County District Leaders receive awards for their work in the school system at a conference in Saint Simons.

HOUSTON COUNTY, Ga. — Three Houston County district leaders received service awards at the annual Georgia Association of Elementary and Middle School Principals conference in Saint Simons, Georgia.

Doctor Alma Mundy received the Hal Beaver Georgia Outstanding Assistant Principal Award. 

She is an assistant principal of Instruction at Northside Middle School.

Then, Dr. Walter Stephens earned the Reid Mullins Service Award for his work in middle school education.

He works currently as the executive director for Houston School Operations.

Dr. Brett Wallace was presented with the Jerry Davis Georgia Distinguished Principle Award. 

He is the principal at Warner Robins Middle School and the fourth leader who earned the Jerry Davis Award.

Houston County says they have the most district leaders who earned this type of award.

The district announced the awards in a press release on November 14.
