Museum of Aviation holds 15th Annual Lego League Competition

Over 30 teams from all over the state of Georgia filled the Century of Flight hangar in Warner Robins to compete in the super regional qualifier.

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — The Museum of Aviation held the 15th Annual Central Georgia FIRST Lego League Super Regional Qualifier on Saturday.

From 8 a. m. to 5 p.m., teams from all over the state of Georgia filled the Century of Flight hangar in Warner Robins to compete in the super regional qualifier.

According to the Starbase Robins website, the theme for this year’s challenge was City Shaper.

Students coded their robots in hopes to get the most skills completed in the given time.

Eight grader Jaycob Linsey and his team traveled to Central Georgia from Atlanta to compete.

He says the hardest part of this competition is the crowd.

"The hardest part to me, I would say, is staying focused because there's a lot of stuff going on around you," Linsey said. "So, just trying to block out the noise and focus on the board to be sure I'm doing everything perfect."

Over 30 teams competed, including six teams from Central Georgia.
