CONCORD, N.C. — A missing Concord teenager was found safe in Kannapolis Thursday, police said.

Concord Police confirmed that 15-year-old Caterina Maria Altadonna went missing Wednesday morning from the Skybrook neighborhood. She was walking to school when she disappeared, police said.

Altadonna was found safe with her boyfriend at a home in Kannapolis. She was returned to her mother. Concord Police Maj. Robert Ledwell said there was never any evidence she was abducted, taken against her will or was in any danger. Police said she contacted her mother after she was reported missing and intentionally dumped her phone so she couldn't be found.
