A Warner Robins man was convicted of of multiple crimes in Houston County Superior Court on Thursday after a two-day jury trial.

A Houston Judicial Circuit news release says James Richard Lane, III, 40, an active-duty member of the United States Air Force, was convicted of two counts of aggravated child molestation, four counts of child molestation and two counts of statutory rape.

Lane was found guilty on all charges and sentenced to 90 years that will be served in the state penitentiary.

Evidence showed that Lane repeatedly molested a young teenage girl over the course of two years in 2016 and 2017. The release says that the evidence also showed that he forced her to have sex and oral sex with him.

Lane was arrested in October 2017 after an investigation done by the Houston County Sheriff's Office.

His discharge from the Air Force is pending at this time.
