MACON, Ga. — A Bibb County deputy was arrested on Tuesday on multiple charges according to a press release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

They say 34-year-old deputy Arsenio Jamal King had inappropriate conversations with an inmate and allowed her to sell illegal drugs in exchange for sex while she was is custody.

He also delivered "kites" or messages between inmates in the jail.

King was assigned to the Corrections Division at the time and the Sheriff's Office says it all took place from January through April 2022.

He was recently transferred to the Patrol Division on December 12, 2022. King has been employed with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office since 2015.

The woman has since been released from the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.

King is charged with two counts of violation of oath by a public officer, a felony charge of attempt or conspiracy to violate Georgia controlled substance Act, and sexual assault by law enforcement agency employee or agent who engages in sexual contact with individual in custody of law.

King is currently being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center without bond. He is on administrative leave, pending an internal investigation by the Office of Professional Standards.
