Man dies after shooting at Pio Nono Avenue Little Caesars

29-year-old Kenneth Bernard Campbell was shot after a fight in the parking lot of the restaurant and died at the hospital at 9:40 p.m.

MACON, Ga. — Bibb deputies are investigating after shooting that happened in a shopping center located in the 1400 block of Pio Nono Avenue Wednesday evening.

According to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, deputies got a call just before 6 p.m. about a fight between several people in the parking lot of the Little Caesars restaurant. The release says 29-year-old Kenneth Bernard Campbell left the parking lot and drove down Montpelier Avenue and was shot while driving. Campbell lost control of the car and drove over a water main, stopping next to the restaurant.

When deputies made it to the scene, Campbell was unresponsive, prompting them to do CPR on him until paramedics arrived. He was taken to the hospital where he died at 9:40 p.m., according to Bibb Coroner Leon Jones.
