TROPICAL UPDATE - 11 AM EDT- June 22, 2017

As of the 11am advisory, Cindy has been downgraded to a tropical depression as it moved inland earlier this morning. Wind is not the issue with this storm. It will continue to produce flooding along the Gulf Coast and severe weather to our west in parts of the Florida Panhandle, Alabama, and Mississippi.

For us in Middle Georgia, minimal impacts are expected, other than a few showers over the next two days. We will stay hot and muggy as the remnants of Cindy merge with a cold front. Our rain chances will likely go up Saturday as moisture from Cindy and the cold front approaches the state. Models are hinting at drier air filtering into the state by early next week.
