The city of Hawkinsville announced Thursday morning in a Facebook post that they may run out of water.

The Water Treatment Plant lost power during the storm, which means the city cannot fill the tanks that supply water to citizens and businesses.

When the tanks are empty, there will be no water until the power has been restored in the area and the tanks can be refilled.

The city says at the current rate the water is leaving, the tanks will likely be out of water by noon and everyone should conserve water usage as much as possible.
