The driver, Ashley Elliott of Knoxville, was charged with failure to maintain lane, too fast for conditions, homicide by vehicle in the 1st degree and DUI.

A woman died after a single-vehicle accident in Crawford County on Thursday.
The accident happened around 11 p.m., according to a Crawford County Sheriff's Office news release.
It happened on Highway 42 South near Richardson Mill Road when a female driver, who is not being named at this time, was traveling north toward Knoxville.
She ran off of the road and hit multiple trees. The passenger, Tiffani Amber Ferguson, 24, of Warner Robins died from her injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Coroner Robert Cody.
The driver was transported to the Medical Center Navicent Health.
