TAYLOR COUNTY, Ga. — The driver of a truck was killed Thursday morning in a single-vehicle wreck on Georgia 96E in Taylor County.
Sheriff Jeff Watson says it was a tractor-trailer that overturned after hitting the guardrail.
According to a GDOT West Twitter post, the wreck happened near Gen John B Gordon Road.
Coroner Gary Lowe identified the driver as 26-year-old Jamaris Atkins, from Alabama. Atkins was driving a truck with Ben Keith Company.
The estimated time of clearance was originally 7:30 a.m.
