Man found under East Dublin bridge identified as homicide suspect

Hunters found a partially decomposed body under a bridge nearly two weeks ago

EAST DUBLIN, Ga. — The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office has identified the body found under a bridge in East Dublin earlier this month.

They say he’s 24-year-old Jerron Hill. They did not release his cause of death.

The sheriff’s office says two people hunting in the area of the Pughes Creek bridge on Highway 199 in East Dublin called 911 after finding a body on May 11.

Deputies arrived at the scene and found Hill’s partially decomposed body.

According to GBI Special Agent Lindsey Wilkes, Hill was the suspect in a homicide that took place early May in Dublin. A 22-year-old was an innocent bystander when he was reportedly shot by gunfire from Hill.
