DUBLIN, Ga. — The Laurens County Fire Department is investigating after a house fire along Millville Church Road on Friday morning.

According to Laurens County EMA Director Don Bryant, dispatch took a call for a house fire around 10:30 a.m.

Bryant says the kitchen area was heavily damaged by the blaze and that a dog was inside the house at the time of the fire. It was taken to a local veterinarian. Its condition is unknown.

Fire crews are still out at the scene and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
