East Dublin man killed in head-on collision

The man was towing a car with his truck when he hit an SUV head-on

An East Dublin man died Sunday night in a head-on collision that caused another car to roll over.

According to Georgia State Patrol, an F-150 driven by Benjamin Singletary, 57, was headed west on Georgia 26 while towing a disabled Chevy Blazer.

They say Singletary turned left to enter a gas station parking lot at the intersection of Dewey Warnock Road and entered the path of a Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Dorothy Terry, age 34.

The F-150 and Cherokee collided head-on, pushing the F-150 and Blazer back into the road while the Cherokee rolled over.

Singletary was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and passenger in the Chevy Blazer – Shon Singletary, 43, and Stephanie Rose, 47, were treated at the scene for their injuries.

The driver of the Cherokee – Dorothy Terry and Mackenzie Terry, 15 -- were taken to Fairview Park Hospital, treated and released.
