A fatal accident on I-75 southbound has at least one confirmed fatality, according to Butts County coroner Ralph Wilson.

Georgia State Patrol Trooper Jerome Sinclair in Griffin says the I-75 southbound accident near mile marker 203 caused at least one fatality.

Sinclair says a Lincoln collided with a semi-truck and was 'engulfed in flames.' At this time, they don't know the cause of the accident. He also says the driver of the truck is 'ok.'

There has been no identification yet, according to the coroner's office. The vehicle and remains have been taken to the medical examiner for identification.

The right lane reopened after midnight -- three hours after the accident, and all lanes were reopened around 6 a.m.
