Folks jam out at the Big House for Macon's GABBAfest

It was a sold out show at the Big House as five bands took the stage to celebrate and promote the life and legacy of the Allman Brothers Band.

People from all over the world are spending the weekend remembering the Allman Brothers Band at Macon's 26th annual GABBAfest.

It was a sold out show at the Big House as five bands took the stage to celebrate and promote the life and legacy of the Allman Brothers Band.

Hundreds of people set up lawn cars, brought out their dogs and the rest of their friends and family to enjoy a day full of music.

Vice President of the Allman Brothers Association, John Howard says how much the event has grown is overwhelming.

"I don't know, the Allman Brothers music just touches and resinates with so many people," he said.

We had 23 states and four countries represented last year and we probably have the same thing today. I don't know just the vibe they hit is universal everyone feels it whether they know they feel it or not."

This is the third year GABBAfest has sold out so Howard says if you're interested in coming next year to make sure to grab tickets before they run out.
