Football scores from the Central Georgia teams in the Benz

Three Central Georgia football teams faced off in Atlanta, hoping to take home a state title.

Tuesday was an important day at Mercedes Benz Stadium in downtown Atlanta as three Central Georgia teams battled it out on the gridiron for a state title in their respective classes.

6A | Northside vs. Lee County

Final Score: 14-0 Lee County

Northside's defense played strong, but Lee County goes back-to-back beating the Eagles 14-0 for the 6A Title.

5A | Warner Robins v Bainbridge

Final Score: 46-41 Bainbridge

Up second at 4:30 p.m. in Class 5A was Warner Robins, who entered the game with a record of 12-2, against Bainbridge.

Bainbridge was on fire in the first quarter against Warner Robins with three touchdowns, quickly putting points on the board (21-0 Bainbridge).

Bainbridge kicked off the second quarter with another touchdown, continuing its run of the scoreboard (28-0 Bainbridge). To clarify, yes, they scored 4 TDs in 13 minutes.

It wasn't until halfway through the second quarter that the Demons found their footing and put points on the board with a touchdown (28-7 Bainbridge). Bainbridge's first penalty soon followed.

Just after half, Bainbridge scored on a pick six, running the score up further (35-7 Bainbridge).

Deep in the third quarter, the Demons scored another two touchdowns, denting Bainbridge's wide lead (35-21 Bainbridge).

Four minutes into the final quarter, QB Dylan Fromm ran for a touchdown, making it a one-score game (35-28 Bainbridge).

With a minute and a half to go in the game, Warner Robins threw a touchdown and tied the game (35-35).

A field goal attempt with just seconds to go was blocked and time expired, so the game went into OT.

Bainbridge had the ball first in OT and scored a field goal, bringing the score to 38-35 Bainbridge. Warner Robins returned with another field goal, forcing the game into 2OT with a score of 38-38.

Warner Robins scored another field goal in 2OT, moving the score to 41-38. Bainbridge returned with another field goal, tying it and sending it to 3OT with a score of 41-41.

Bainbridge scored a touchdown in 3OT but was unsuccessful in scoring on its two-point conversion. Warner Robins was unsuccessful in scoring and Bainbridge won 5A.

3A | Peach County v Cedar Grove

Final Score: 14-13 Cedar Grove

Up first at 1 p.m. in Class 3A was Peach County, who entered the game with a record of 12-2, against Cedar Grove from Ellenwood.

Both team's defenses put up a strong fight and it appeared the first half would be scoreless up until Peach County kicked a 48-yard field goal with less than two minutes to go in the second quarter (3-0 Peach).

Halfway through the third quarter, Cedar Grove put its first points on the board with a touchdown (7-3 Cedar Grove).

Then, with less than a minute until the start of the last quarter, Peach County scored its first touchdown of the game (10-7 Peach).

A 30-yard field goal by Peach County halfway through the fourth quarter extended their lead (13-7 Peach).

A touchdown by Cedar Grove with 4 seconds to go in the game changed the score (14-13 Cedar Grove), giving Cedar Grove the win.
