FVSU says the employee has been placed on administrative leave.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is currently looking into potential employee misconduct at Fort Valley State University.

According to GBI Special Agent J.T. Ricketson, they were requested by the Georgia Board of Regents and Attorney General's office to "look into a matter" at the university. Ricketson said that they have 20 to 30 people to interview that will be taking place during the week.

The university declined to speak on camera and requested that we not interview students at the University. They did issue the statement below confirming the investigation taking place on Monday

A statement from FVSU confirmed the investigation Monday.

Fort Valley State University recently notified the University System of Georgia about potential employee misconduct. We can confirm that the University System of Georgia is now conducting an investigation into this alleged employee misconduct, and an FVSU employee who is allegedly involved has been placed on administrative leave. We can also confirm that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Office of the Attorney General are involved and investigating whether criminal activity has occurred.
