Georgia National Fairgrounds collecting items for Hurricane Michael victims

The fairgrounds says 'many hands make light work,' and they're asking for your help

If you’re interested in donating items to victims of Hurricane Michael, the Georgia National Fairgrounds will be collecting them next week.

Starting Monday, Oct. 22 through Wednesday, Oct. 24, items can be dropped off between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the east side of the property. This means you’ll need to go to the East Gate entrance to get in.

They are asking for new items, not pre-used items.

A list of items they’re asking for is below:

  • Large tarps
  • Folding tables
  • Chairs
  • Gas cans
  • Trash bags
  • Duct tape
  • Ladders
  • Radios

  • First-aid items
  • Bug spray
  • Baby diapers
  • Baby formula

  • Bottled water
  • Pet food
