Denise Armour and four of her friends and family decked themselves in black t-shirts that had the Grinch pasted on the front.
"Well, we are the Grinches, the Grinches who actually love Christmas," she said. "We want to give the Grinch a better name than he normally has so we decided to make the Grinch something fun this year."
The group went straight from turkey to trying to find a parking space in the mad rush that is Black Friday.
Belk gave away scratch off discount cards but the Grinch folks found deals all over Central Georgia.
"Headed out on the trail we shopped Warner Robins; we started last night, and we'll finish up sometime around lunch Friday," Denise recalled.
With that kind of effort, we asked store manager J.R. Ernest what's hot this year.
Turns out, it's cool to act like a kid.
"We want folks to come in and touch our toys play with our toys, he said. You can be elfie selfie Rudolph the red nosed reindeer and of course we've got the great slippers to go with it as well so you can't go wrong with that.
The Grinch crew had a game plan too.
"Probably in the home goods back where the Christmas decorations are," Denise said. "They need a nutcracker to go with them and I want the big nutcracker the 300 dollar nutcracker."
Belk has teamed up with Habitat for Humanity this season.
They are asking for donations at the register.
As a company they hope to raise 600-thousand dollars.
