Here's what record stores in Macon will have for Record Store Day on Saturday

Record Store Day is held each year across the United States.

Fresh Produce Records and Falling Store Records in downtown Macon will participate in Record Store Day on Saturday.

Record Store Day was created in 2007 as a way to celebrate independently-owned record stores across the United States, according to its website.

Fresh Produce Records, located on MLK Jr. Dr. in downtown Macon, will have plenty to offer for the coming holiday, according to owner, William Dantzler.

Just up the road, on Second Street, Falling Star Records will be just as loaded, according to co-owner, Tony Doolin.

Each store will have one huge Record Store Day exclusive, which is the Allman Brothers Band live at the Atlanta International Pop Festival.

Falling Store Records is diligently preparing as Doolin says they are expecting a lot of visitors.

"There will be a line outside; there always is," said Doolin. "People line up because there's a lot of exclusive Record Store Day titles..."

As for Fresh Produce Records, this is the third time the store has participated in the Record Store Day celebration.

"I really enjoy it because they put out a lot of cool releases and stuff," said Dantzler. "Sometimes, it's stuff that's never been put out before."

According to the Record Store Day website, throughout its nine years, cities across the United States including New York City, Los Angeles, Boise, Charleston and Las Vegas have declared Record Store Day an official holiday.
