Jimmy John’s announced the opening of a second Macon location on Tuesday.

According to a news release, the new location is at 781 Spring St. next to the Medical Center, Navicent Health.

Owner William Hill says he plans to hire 25 employees and anyone interested in applying can visit snagajob.com or stop by the store, which is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

In August, a physicians group urged Navicent Health to break its lease with McDonalds over its dining options.

That came after a dietician wrote a letter urging the Macon-Bibb Health Department to cut ties with fast food restaurants inside the hospital.

There are also several other sandwich shops nearby like Subway, Roly Poly and Which Wich.
